Foodjob Nordic is recruiting on behalf of Hyldetoftegaard, a modern and dynamic family-owned food producer located near Skælskør, Denmark, working closely together with Thorsbjerggaard. We produce high-quality strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and currants, primarily in tunnel production, supplying leading Danish retailers and wholesalers through GASA Nordgrønt.
Our production is GLOBALG.A.P.-certified and combines modern horticulture with a strong focus on quality, sustainability and operational excellence.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in planning, managing and optimising the entire berry production cycle from planting and irrigation to harvest and delivery. You will lead larger seasonal teams through supervisors during peak season and work closely with management, logistics, packing operations and sales. We are looking not only for candidates with agricultural or horticultural experience, but also for profiles with a technical mindset and experience within irrigation systems, automation, production technology or operational optimisation.
This is a role with significant responsibility, freedom and influence, and an exciting opportunity to become part of a planned generational transition with close onboarding from the current Production Manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and execute berry production throughout the season
- Lead, motivate and coordinate seasonal employees and supervisors
- Monitor crop growth, irrigation, fertilisation and disease prevention
- Optimise production processes and technical systems related to irrigation and cultivation
- Ensure quality standards, food safety and certification compliance
- Collaborate with packing, logistics and sales teams to secure efficient delivery flow
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational development
Your Profile

You may have experience within:
- Horticulture, greenhouse or tunnel production
- Irrigation systems, technical operations or agricultural technology
- Production management, automation or process optimisation
- Team leadership in food production, agriculture or manufacturing
In addition, you are:
- Structured, proactive and solution-oriented
- Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions
- Curious about technology and continuous improvement
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with people from different backgrounds
- Hands-on and motivated by seeing tangible results every day
