Commercial Product Manager Chocolate and Confectionary Fats (B2B)

Foodjob Nordic is looking for a senior professional to ensure further competitive and profitable growth of AAKs Chocolate and Confectionary Fats business. AAK is the leading producer of specialized oils and fats for the food industry. The company has unmatched expertise in the application of vegetable oils and fats in chocolate and confectionary – an industry with a clear strategic ‘invest in growth’ status.

 

Position

Reporting to the product management lead for Europe you drive the development, performance and profitability of the Chocolate and Confectionary Fats business in Europe. The Commercial Product Manager is central in qualifying and optimizing the go-to-market activities in the region.

The role includes the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Translating the business strategy into product strategy
  • Reviewing market insights and steer frontend loading activities
  • Managing and developing the product portfolio
  • Defining and monitoring product margins and profitability targets
  • Assessing value propositions and ensuring insights on key differentiators
  • Product launches

The role has various interfaces both internally and externally. You will guide the go-to-market activities from the industry perspective in collaboration with colleagues in both commercial, technical functions and supply chain/operations. Strategic customer visits and visiting colleagues is part of the job, and some travelling must be expected.

The role can be based in any of AAKs primary locations in Europe with hybrid working being and option.

 

Profile

You are an experienced B2B marketeer, business developer, product manager or industry/business analyst with a strong track record from the chocolate and confectionary industry or a related industry. Insights into the industry on an international level – product lines, key players and markets is a high priority. So is an understanding of the competition, suppliers and the regulatory environment.

Besides strong communication skills in general, fluency in English is a requirement.
