Regional Application Manager Bakery and Lipid
Foodjob Nordic is looking for a strong bakery and lipid application expert for Palsgaard. Palsgaard is a worldwide leader in providing advanced plant-based emulsifier solutions to the food and packaging industries. With reference to the Director of Global Application you will be central in providing and managing application support of bakery and lipid applications in the region Europe and North Africa (ENA) and emerging markets as well as supporting globally.
Besides leading, developing and motivating a team of 7 colleagues, you will be working closely together with Sales handling and growing the pipeline of customer projects.
Your responsibilities include:
- Being proactive in customer meetings together with sales
- Leading new concept developments to be promoted to bakery and lipid customers
- Developing new product solutions and concepts based on customer needs and market literature
- Being the Global Tech Lead on bakery applications and leading knowledge share
- Handling selected key accounts globally
- Supporting applications centers in other regions
Working in a matrix structure you will be supporting both regionally and globally and travelling activity is estimated to be around 40 days per year. You will be based at Palsgaard headquarter in Juelsminde, Denmark - the global center of excellence with state-of-the-art pilot plants.

High level understanding of food technology combined with significant experience within the field of industrial bakery is the right foundation for fulfilling the role. Therefore we expect that you hold an academic degree within food science or a related field, and that you know very well industrial bakery – either from within the industry or from providing solutions for the industry.
As the role has many stakeholders (internal and external) and as you will be managing a team, your interpersonal skills and your communication skills are equally important as your expertise in products and technology. Therefore we expect that you are skilled in communicating at multiple levels and that you can translate complex data into useful information and convey this in a way that is useful for the recipient.
You possess a good business acumen and an analytical way of working using the available statistical tools and IT tools in general. You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Notes and Teams) and it is an advantage if you are an experienced user of CRM systems, especially Microsoft CRM.
