Project Manager (m/f/x) Meat Processing for Foodfab

Foodjob Nordic is looking for an engineering profile with a strong know-how from the meat processing industry for our customer Foodfab GmbH.
Foodfab GmbH advises and supports companies in the food industry in the implementation of their strategies in tailor-made, sustainable buildings. Starting from the conceptional basis of the operational workflows Foodfab develop functional buildings for production processes which are economic and free of crossovers. The customer focus is the food producing industry, including as a major part the meat industry – from the abattoirs to the meat processors.
Foodfab is a central part of ATP Group and the company is located with headquarters in Innsbruck, Austria and has an office in Munich, Germany.
Responsibilities and goals
With reference to the Managing Partner of Foodfab you will be part of a team of 15 people focusing on larger investment projects in the meat industry/meat processing industry based in the office in Innsbruck. Ideally you handle the responsibility for the entire process and advise your customers independently. It includes the offer phase, the initial layouts, the master planning, the design phase, the commissioning stage and the delivery phase.
Your primary focus will be:
- Handling national and international customer requests
- Developing concepts for process and operational planning
- Technical design of components, creation of flowcharts
- Project management from the offer phase to the commissioning and delivery phase
- Being the contact person for the customer within your area of responsibility
- Cooperating and coordinating with both internal and external partners
You are offered a position with great development potential in a company known to be the competent advisor of the food industry and within an organization with a high level og specialized know-how in meat processing.
The position can be based in either Innsbruck or Munich, and travelling activity is estimated to be around 50%.
A formal education as butcher combined with a degree in process technology, food technology or production engineering will be the ideal background for the position. We also expect you to have had your first experience managing larger projects related to meat processing or processing of convenience products. Based on this and your practical insight into the main technologies and processes in food manufacturing, you feel at home in this technical field and you are greatly motivated using your process engineering competencies offering consulting for customers.
Your IT skills includes user experience on professional level in MS Office/CAD etc. as well as working with Building Information Modelling.
Your communication skills are well developed with an ability to interact with people having different functions and backgrounds. Besides this you have good negotiation skills and with regards to languages you are fluent in English. German language skills are a great advantage.
On a personal level you approach your work in a serious, pragmatic and entrepreneurial way. Your mindset is solution oriented and committed with a willingness to develop and learn. You have a high working capacity and you are flexible and willing to do both national and international travel.
