Category Product Manager for Tamaco Trading

Foodjob Nordic is looking for a self driven and dedicated professional for a key role at Tamaco Trading: Category Product Manager for the films category. Tamaco Trading is a trading company specialized in sales and support of various packaging solutions – primarily for the food industry in Scandinavia. The company has been selling BRC certified APET films for 20 years and offer top quality films in many different structures.

Tamaco Trading has administration and warehouse in Hasselager near Aarhus. The company is part of Solina Group.

Responsibilities and goals
Your function will be to maintain and develop both customer accounts and the supplier base. Your particular focus will be the films category and your customer focus will be larger customers in the food producing industry.

The function implies:

  • Being accountable of entire sales to customer accounts
  • Maintaining and negotiating agreements with relevant suppliers
  • Participation in product shows, fairs and other activities to search the market for new products
  • Designing and executing a 3 year business plan including customer plans and budget
  • Setting up meetings and frequently visiting customers
  • Handling pipeline of projects

Your external points of contacts will mainly be the purchasing function of the customers and the sales and technical organization of the suppliers. With reference to the SBU Manager you will be part of a commercial team working closely together and supporting each other. You will support your colleagues on the cardboard and casings categories and vice versa. Besides the commercial team you will also have a close cooperation with the customer care function and the warehouse function.

The position offers high degrees of freedom corresponding to the accountability in the role. Moreover you will be part of a well functioning team of people who enjoy each others company and interact on both a professional and a personal level.

The position is based at Tamaco Trading’s office in Hasselager, Denmark, and international travelling activity is estimated to be around 20-30 days per year.


We expect you to have a +5 year track record managing B2B accounts in the food industry – both smaller and larger accounts. It is important that you are familiar with project sales offering solutions for the industry. Ideally packaging solutions are part of your expertise but experience selling other solutions like machinery, services, raw materials or ingredients is also relevant.

As this is a commercial role dealing with both customers and suppliers handling different stakeholders is key to success. It requires strong business acumen and a holistic view of the business and you also need to have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Working with business plans and budgets as well as negotiating contracts and prizes should be your home field. You are results driven and have a structured way of working with good project management skills and high integrity.

Your language skills includes fluency in English and a Scandinavian language – written and spoken and you are familiar using IT tools like Microsoft Office
