Business Development Manager for Alsiano in Sweden
Foodjob Nordic is looking for a customer oriented food solution professional to be part of Alsiano – a leading supplier and distributer of ingredients, raw materials and additives in the Nordics.
Alsiano serves customers within a wide range of industries from offices in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The company works together with more than 20 innovative manufacturers of food ingredients, who are all specialists within their area.
With reference to the Business Manager Food you will be responsible for commercial development of both existing and new customers in a well-defined customer segment. Being responsible for the sales to your clients, your goal is clear – it is then up to you how to achieve the goal in cooperation with your colleagues and suppliers. You will be working in a holistic way with both commercial and technical aspects of creating value:
- Mapping and targeting potential new customers
- Expanding business with existing clients into new product segments
- Performing conceptual solution sales based on market trends
- Being technical advisor to customers with regards to the product range
- Close collaboration with core suppliers and being key contact for selected suppliers
- Continuously maintaining and developing the product range and the pricing
- Participating in events, seminars, trade fairs, exhibitions etc.
Besides being able to get support from suppliers, you will be working together with your colleagues in the Nordic Sales team. Knowledge sharing will be a central part of the team activity, and you will be coaching colleagues on the products/suppliers you are responsible for while receiving the same support from their side. For the sake of coordination and involving the management, there will be monthly reporting on pipeline, forecast and customer activities in general.
You are offered a broad commercial role with focus on creating value for the Scandinavian food manufacturers and with a high degree of freedom to operate. The position is functionally related to the office at Alsiano AB in Göteborg (Billdal) – however home office is a possibility. Annual travelling activity will be approximately +60 days per year.
You possess a proven track record selling solutions to the food industry in both Sweden and internationally. Based on your understanding of customer needs and raw materials/ingredients, you can ensure long-term relationships with both customers and suppliers. You are comfortable in the role as trusted advisor and you know how to achieve this role adding value to all stakeholders.
On a personal level you are ambitious and proactive with an entrepreneurial spirit and a high drive. You are a self-starter and thrive on working independently constantly pursuing opportunities in the market.
