Area Sales Manager – Process Equipment Meat/Poultry/Fish

The Area Sales Manager position at Fomaco is a new role, and will be responsible for the  development of markets, projects and sales of state-of-the-art curing and marinating systems to B-to-B customers and agents in the Meat/Poultry/Fish production and processing segments, especially across selected markets. The Area Sales Manager reports to the Sales Director.  
  
Responsibilities and goals
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of sales regarding existing and potential suppliers, agents and customers in the Meat/Poultry/Fish segments in close corporation with colleagues in the office in Køge and the rest of the sales force. The position is responsible for the development of sales accounts to achieve the budgeted company targets.   
  
The Area Sales Manager is the intermediate link between customers, suppliers, production, other parts of the sales force and headquarter responsible for customers, project management and products/concepts.    
  
Some important focus points are: 
  • Sales Development responsibility for focus markets with high growth potential
  • Identify market opportunities and customer segments focus
  • Develop concepts and identify new development opportunities
  • Business performance, documentation and communication  
Qualifications
  • Educated within Sales, Food Technology or comparable qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with a commercial track record within sales in the food industry or machinery industry with a strong network and cultural understanding of core markets
  • Combines a commercial mindset and drive with specialist knowledge
  • Strong project management skills and high integrity
  • Self-starting business professional with excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English, German and preferably Spanish/French/Russian
  • Flexible and is willing to travel around min. 100 days pr. year

  • Sales contribution from area of responsibility
  • Development of high value add business in area of responsibility
  • Ability to make strong sales presentations
  • Impact of new sales and marketing initiatives in area of responsibility
  • Ability to read market trends
  • Develop strong relationships with customers
