Area Sales Manager - Healthcare

Foodjob Nordic is looking for an Area Sales Manager for Alsiano’s Healthcare business.  
Alsiano Healthcare offers a broad range of ingredients and raw materials for the nutraceutical and healthcare industry in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, working together with leading manufacturers of ingredients and bioactives. 
The product portfolio comprises among other ingredients; fibres and coating systems, plant extracts, bioactives and proteins.  
The position 
Reporting to the Business Manager for Healtcare you will be part of the team of 6 dedicated colleagues. The healthcare team is covering pharmaceutical, health & personal care and this will be the industries you will work in. Further you will work very closely together with the FOOD business unit.  
The objectives for the Area Sales Manager role include: 
  • Reaching the budget in your own segment 
  • Develop existing and new customers in close cooperation with principals 
  • Develop and maintain project pipeline in harmony with strategies 
  • Carry out visits to existing and new customers to promote products 
The sales are highly project-oriented, and you work in close dialogue with the R&D, quality, production and purchase functions of customers.  
In your daily work, you will have a high degree of freedom and be able to manage your own calendar. You will be based at the office in Copenhagen and with regards to travel you should expect a level of +30 days per year travelling in The Nordics in particular as well as in other parts of Europe. 
You possess minimum 3 years experience providing a consultative sell of raw materials, ingredients or similar products for the life science industry or related industries. 
Your solid technical understanding is ideally based on a B.Sc./M.Sc-degree within chemistry, food technology, biotechnology or a related technical field. 
Besides a good knowledge and understanding of raw materials and ingredients, business acumen and commercial flair is highly important. It is also highly important that you are an outgoing person with a keen flair for canvassing new clients and interacting with external partners in general.  
You possess good communications skills, verbally and in writing, in one of the Scandinavian languages and in English.
