Commercial Manager for Biodane Pharma

Biodane Pharma A/S develops, markets and sells food supplements for the regulation, stimulation and protection of the gastrointestinal function. The scientific character of the company means that all products have a proven and documented effect. The two major brands SylliFlor® and ColoDan® are produced on the company’s factory in Denmark using own patented technologies. 
The position 
The company’s products are supplied to hospitals, marketed at pharmacies, in health shops and through own net-shops. Sales is growing through all channels with a high degree of internationalization. Up till now the focus has been mainly Western Europe but sale is now also being initiated in Eastern Europe and in Asia.  
With reference directly to the company director your mission will be to develop the sales and handle the increasing internationalization while also maintaining existing sales in already established markets. Conveying information about the health benefits of the products within the applicable legislation is a key part of the job. Other key elements of the job will be:
  • Market analysis and prioritization of which new markets to focus on 
  • Competitor analysis with focus on own value proposition and positioning 
  • Key account management and management of agents and distributers 
  • Developing web channel sales 
  • Management of two directly reporting sales managers 
As marketing responsible you will also be involved in making product descriptions and other marketing material as well as planning of fairs and events. A high level of travel activity (approximately a week per month) visiting customers, fairs and conferences must be expected. 
An academic degree on master level as well as a basic understanding of biology will be a clear advantage in this job. On top of this you should have a documented track-record creating positive results within the health-food market or related markets.  
Based on your experience you are comfortable in the role of advisor conveying technical knowledge of nutritional products. You also have a commercial mindset and a good market understanding. And you have experience making and negotiating larger commercial contracts.  
You possess good communication skills (on all levels) in Danish and English and preferably a third language – both orally and in writing.
