Business Development Manager – Food Ingredients

The Business Development Manager ensures good performance and strong strategic planning on the targets of defined business objectives in alignment with HQ in all matters commercially, managerial and strategically to secure overall KMC profitability. The Business Development Manager reports to the Business Development Director.  
  
Responsibilities and goals:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development of business plans in collaboration with the Business Development Director, coordinate with local KMC sales representatives and to arrange, conduct and follow up on customer visits, presenting the protein portfolio. The Business Development Manager will give strategic market input, convey market needs and requests to R&D and Sales in order to develop application concepts and the necessary documentation. The role will have a key responsibility to drive customer activity in a systemized manner within a dynamic Business Development team, and focus on the development and launch of new products and application areas.
 
Important focus points are:
  • Develop new markets and activity plans for Potato protein
  • Develop sales concepts and provide the necessary documentation
  • Develop the content of market materials and priorities for a worldwide customer portfolio
  • Presenting application solutions at customer visits
  • Motivate, train and educate the sales organization regarding new protein solutions
Qualifications:
  • Educated with a Degree in Food Science, Sales, Marketing, Food Tech or comparable qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an international role in the food ingredients industry
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Food Ingredients business areas
  • Solid IT competences
  • Combines a commercial mindset and drive with technical knowledge within functionality and/or nutritional value of proteins
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Creative and innovative personality able to find solutions when challenges arise
  • Able to turn strategy in to action
  • Ability to create long term customer relations across countries and cultures
  • Fluent in English
  • Based in Denmark in the Central Region and willing to travel
