Quality Coordinator – Food Ingredients
Foodjob Nordic is looking for a strong food industry professional for an attractive Quality Coordinator role. The position is a temporary role. Our client, Agrain, is a food-tech company specialized in the upcycling of spent grains. We turn spent grains into nutritious, versatile and aromatic functional flours. The Quality Coordinator will work closely with the Production Manager, Product Manager and sales team, and the main responsibilities and tasks are:
- Responsibility for of all quality systems and ensuring compliance with standards, regulatory requirements and customer requirements – including audits
- Providing training in food safety and quality policies and procedures and foster teamwork
- Reporting to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality or personnel safety
- Taking the lead in updating product specifications and recipes together with the Product Manager in the ERP system
- Answering questionnaires from customers
- Securing supplier compliance with IFS, Upcycled Food, Kosher and Organic certifications
The position offers a broad exposure to every phase in the production from receiving the raw material until final production and quality control of distribution. You will be working to ensure and document quality within formulations, technologies, tailor-made solutions, and you will be involved in a wide variety of customer and internal projects in a challenging environment where two days are never alike.
Your profile
Besides a theoretical foundation within food science or a related field, you have relevant experience from food production including quality system responsibility. Your experience from and knowledge of food industry related quality, environment and health and safety systems is highly prioritized.
On a personal level you are a positive go-getter with a systematic and persistent approach, but at the same time thrives in a busy everyday life with a strong entrepreneurial spirit in a start-up environment. You are comfortable in a role with significant responsibilities, and you apply a solution-oriented approach to your responsibilities and tasks enabling you to make difficult decisions. You are a team player but also able to demand that people deliver to you.
To thrive and have success in the role it is important that you possess great interpersonal skills. You are customer oriented in your approach and you are professional in your behavior and communication. Good communication skills in Danish and English – written and spoken – are required.
A proactive and flexible approach and ability to apply structure in an environment where two days are not alike is a necessity. So is a flexible home base which allows you to travel and to be present when customers or other circumstances calls for it.
The position will be located at the company's factory on Zealand, and an attractive salary package is offered depending on qualifications.
