Technical Sales Manager – Food Ingredients

Summary
The Technical Sales Manager position will be responsible for the development of markets, projects and sales of ingredients to B-to-B customers in the food production and processing segments, especially in Denmark, but also across the Nordics. The Technical Sales Manager reports to the Business Unit Manager for Food & Nutrition. 
 
Job description
Responsibilities and goals: 
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of a sales strategy regarding existing and potential ingredient customers in close corporation with colleagues in HQ and the rest of the sales force. The position is responsible for the development of sales accounts to achieve the Business Plan and budgeted targets. The Technical Sales Manager is the intermediate link between customers, suppliers, QA/QC, other parts of the sales force and headquarters responsible for strategy, customers, project management and products/concepts. 
 
Some important focus points are: 
  • Sales Development responsibility for the Danish/Nordic market 
  • Identify market opportunities and customer segments focus 
  • Develop concepts and identify new product development opportunities 
  • Business strategy, detail documentation strategy and communication strategy 
Qualifications: 
  • Preferably educated within Food Science, Food Technology or comparable qualifications 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with a commercial track record within sales in the food industry 
  • Team player, but high personal drive for growth and results 
  • Strong project management skills and high integrity 
  • Self-starting business professional with excellent communication skills 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Flexible and is willing to travel around 
Key Performance Indicators: 
  • Sales contribution from area of responsibility 
  • Development of high value add business in area of responsibility 
  • Ability to make strong sales presentations 
  • Impact of new sales and marketing initiatives in area of responsibility 
  • Ability to read market trends 
  • Develop strong relationships with customers 
Salary and location: 
Based in the Öresund region or home office - attractive salary + pension + benefits (car)
